Amukura Catholic Priest Fr Dunstaan Epalaat has said he is backing the constitutional review process to create more positions in Government.
He said each Kenyan has a right to vie for the Presidency and that it does not belong to two tribes.
Speaking during a funds drive at Kwangamor Catholic Church, Fr Epalaat said the constitution needs to be amended to create a level playing field.
The Harambee was also attended by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his Busia Counterpart Sospeter Ojaamong,
“If the review of the constitution will create positions to go beyond two tribes, I think and believe that is the way to go,” he said.
He added that an expanded cabinet at the national level will accommodate many communities and create balanced leadership.
The priest also took issue with some leaders who promote hatred among communities in the country.
Fr Epalat said individuals’ rights do not extend to creating problems for the country ahead of the polls in 2022.
