Activities in several Counties may soon come to a halt due to lack of funds.
This comes after the Division of Revenue Bill 2019 was subjected to mediation by the Supreme Court following lack of consensus between the Senate and National Assembly.
Hot news has learned that the National Assembly has settled on Sh316 billion while the Senate insists on shs 327 billion following equitable share claimed by Senate.
Speaking to Hot news, Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi called on the Senate, National Assembly and Council of Governors to resolve the matter.
“Services in the County have been disrupted and many departments are not operating. Its two months late and some workers are on a go-slow paralyzing basic duties of county governments,” said Ndiritu,
Muriithi was speaking during celebrations of successful egg harvest to save the Northern White Rhino.
Only two Northern white Rhinos have been left in the world.
The Olpejeta Conservancy and Kenya Wildlife Service carried out a joint venture.
“This is particularly touching given the heartbreaking death of Sudan, the last male who died last year in Kenya of old age,” lamented Ndiritu.
He added that the process had never been done before and was a tangible reality for the first time.
