There was drama at Isinya Police Division Headquarters on Friday when the husband of Kajiado East MP Peris Tobiko stormed the local police station seeking police intervention to block Deputy President William Ruto from holding a political rally at his matrimonial home.
Kishanto Ole Suuji stormed the police station saying he had not been consulted nor informed about the political rally and wondered why the DP was secretly plotting with his wife to “mutilate his matrimonial the home”
An agitated Kishanto, who is a civil servant, said he was totally opposed to the political rally and vowed to sue the DP and the MP for trespass.
” I am very hurt. They have destroyed my property. And crops and eaten my livestock. I do not support the political activities going on there. I demand for their arrest,” said Mr Suuji.
Before dashing to Isinya Police Station where he was given audience by area OCPD Ancent Kaloki, Suuji, a few aides in tow, had earlier held a meeting with Kajiado County Commissioner, Joshua Nkanatha over the matter.
Police in Isinya found themselves in tight spot after they realized that they could not stop the meeting to go on as hundreds of delegates had already gathered and feasting on several bulls slaughtered to welcome the MP to Mr Ruto’s UDA party.
Looking dejected, Suuji said he had bought the 200 acres ranch for his family and it was not supposed to be a platform for political gatherings.
Addressing the media in Isinya, a sobbing Suuji said he had been pained by the mutilation of his farm and vowed to sue the DP and the MP for infringing on his rights to privacy.
MP Tobiko has now officially joined UDA as its gubernatorial candidate, edging out Kajiado South MP Katoo Ole Metito and former NTSA boss Francis Meja.
Both boycotted the coronation of Ms Tobiko by the DP Ruto.
