Immediate former Saboti Constituency manager Luke Naibei has asked MP Caleb Amisi to stop maligning his name in public.
Speaking on Thursday while issuing bursary forms, Amisi alleged that the officials he fired, who include Naibei, are corrupt.
Naibei’s term of office ended on December 31, 2019 and it was not renewed.
Addressing the press in Kitale town on Friday, Naibei alleged that he fell out with many people when he tried to defend Amisi over his “corrupt deals”.
Naibei asked Amisi to invite the EACC to audit the County accounts.
Naibei who asked for forgiveness from the people of Saboti for previously working with Amisi, said Amisi uses proxies from Nairobi to work on KeRRA roads in his constituency.
Naibei said Amisi receives kickbacks from the contractors.
“In schools, your company cannot win a tender for construction unless you give out a kickback or if the company belongs to him “Naibei said.
Naibei said he is not interested in working with Amisi.
He said Amisi wants him back because he fears “he will spill the beans”.
“Amisi called many influential leaders from my community including Endebess MP so that they talk to me. I declined. Why is he moving across the constituency alleging that we were corrupt,” posed Naibei.
Naibei who holds a master’s degree in Human resource management asked Amisi to prepare for a fierce battle in 2022.
“Since he has announced in public that he will teach me a political lesson, let me take this opportunity to declare that I will compete and eventually defeat him in 2022” he said.
Naibei’s supporter Philemon Buzeki alleged that Amisi has failed to fulfill the pledges he made during campaigns.
Buzeki said roads in the constituency are impassable.
He wondered why Amisi is distributing bursary forms, yet this can be done by Chiefs and their assistants.
Naibei has already started popularizing himself ahead of 2022.
