Ministry of Repentance and Holiness Church members from Kitale have urged Prophet David Owuor to intervene in paying the hospital bill for the local church Bishop.
Bishop Margaret Mburu has been admitted at the Aga khan hospital, Nairobi for two weeks.
According to the family, Bishop Mburu is suffering from hypertension and that the bill has accrued to sh 2 Million.
The church members led by Andrew Masai said the family is unable to raise funds and that it is considering selling its property to cater for the huge medical bill.
“We have communicated with the family and actually they have no money at the moment, Prophet Owuor should help us settle the bill then we will be relieved as a church and a family” said Masai.
Bishop Mburu has served for 16 years and has so far helped Owuor’s ministry open more than 350 churches.
The churches are spread across Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan.
Prophet Owuor has become a household name in Kenya because of his miracles.
The flamboyant Owuor has seen his rallies swell with many people.
However, some have admired him and some dismissed him as a prophet of doom.
Last year, the Prophet caused uproar on social media when he made a “triumphant” entry into Nakuru town with police outriders and more than 10 police escort cars.
The prophet is perceived to be extremely wealthy and a man of means.
