Busia Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi has said that he is ready to succeed Governor Sospeter Ojaamong in 2022.
Mulomi was Speaking during the burial of Mzee Vincent Panyako, 77, at Apatit village in Amukura Central Ward on Saturday.
“My aunt’s son John Bunyasi also wants the same seat. Given that I am now in position two, it would be prudent to aim for top position like any ambitious student,” he said.
He added that he wants to ensure Ojaamong secures his legacy.
Mulomi said he will ensure all projects initiated by Ojaamong are completed.
Speaking during the same event, Bunyasi said he is also in the race and urged residents to vote for him come 2022.
“Those (Governor Sospeter Ojaamong and DG Mulomi) who built for us the foundation has done well, we shall hold onto that foundation to steer the County to greater heights.”Bunyasi said.
He called on all political leaders to ensure they reach consensus on the Building Bridges Initiatives.
“From tomorrow (Monday) the final version will be out. The document is good especially on the increased allocation to counties; what we need is to avail copies to county residents to read it before making informed decision,” he said.
