Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has vowed that he will not hand over the Governorship to an “unfriendly” Governor in 2022.
His term is coming to an end and he will have served two terms.
He said together with his cronies, he will manage the raging local succession politics to ensure a ” friendly” governor takes over the reins of power.
Speaking in Busia when he commissioned a modern water rig, the Governor said despite belated attempts and round the clock spirited fights, they will not surrender the leadership on a “silver platter”.
“Those who have been wasting their time fighting me will know who we are in the next few years; you are fighting us on social media wasting your time,” he fumed.
Ojaamong added that in the next few months, he will be on the ground dishing out goodies to residents.
The Governor said he recently toured most parts of the county and was impressed by the roads which have been done to the required standards.
He said they are working with the National Government to revive ginneries with money already allocated and have the two local sugar firms to ensure farmers benefit.
