Radio Africa and Star’s Journalist Corazon Wafula has died.
Wafula has been at the Star publication for more than four years.
Friends said she was taken ill three days ago.
Unconfirmed reports say Wafula succumbed to kidney failure on Saturday morning.
Wafula who was in her early 30’s worked in Trans Nzoia County, Kitale until a year ago when she relocated to Nairobi in the same capacity.
Following her demise, Journalists, and leaders across the Country have mourned her as “hardworking, respectful and responsible”.
“I helped Corazon by teaching her Journalism skills when she was first posted to Kitale as a star correspondent, fortunately she became a good student and eventually became a master of writing good stories that were read both locally and internationally. I have lost a friend and a colleague in the profession “said Nicholas Wamalwa, a Scribe and Kwanza Parliamentary aspirant.
Chamber of commerce Trans Nzoia chairman Martin Waliaula said Corazon was friendly and her skills in journalism will be missed.
Trans Nzoia county commissioner Sam Ojwang said “My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and fraternity of media brothers and sisters. May her soul rest in everlasting peace”.
