Kitengela Town was on Sunday evening brought to a standstill by the political juggernaut assembled by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
Lenku’ army of Jubilee supporters stormed the town which is home to two of his rivals David Ole Nkedienye and Peris Tobiko.
Lenku send out a message of a campaign war chest that will soon be deployed to recapture his seat.
His entourage of more than 40 vehicles, supporters in tow, snaked into the town shortly after 5 pm, temporarily making the Nairobi-Namanga highway impassable.
“We have come to pass the message that we are in Jubilee and that it is our party of choice having now gotten a Presidential Candidate in Raila Odinga,” thundered Lenku.
He said he will unleash his political supporters in all corners of the County to ensure they deliver the gubernatorial and Presidential votes.
He said he was not perturbed by the entry of Former Governor David Nkedienye to Jubilee and declared that the ex-governor had no option but to settle for another seat.
“Sisi tunajua kupanga nyumba yetu.Wageni tutawaonyesha pahali ya kukaa. Sisi tunaangalia wapinzani wa vyama vingine juu hii ya Jubilee hiyo nitachukua,” said Lenku.
He said Nkedienye was not a threat and he had beaten him when he was weaker.
“I am now stronger. He has no chance against me. That one I will sort,” he said to a thunderous applause.
Earlier the Governor had attended a church service at Kitengela AIPCA, and met the business Community from Isinya Town.
The Governor’s mega rally was used to bring together Jubilee and ODM aspirants who vowed to support Mr Odinga and the Governor while they competed for the other positions.
Among the aspirants who accompanied the Governor was Jeniffer Moinket who wants to be Woman Representative and ODM Parliamentary aspirants Kakuta Maimai and Koin Lompo Papaa.
