Kajiado Central Constituency CDF Chairman John Lemayian Loisa’s political camp has collapsed after a cross section of his supporters differed with him on his 2022 bid for the elusive Dalalekutuk Ward MCA seat.
In what has been a candid discussion on his prospects against the incumbent MCA Nkitinyo Lesere (Ntaati), Loisa’s team has fallen out bitterly with a group led by David Osoi.
Loisa’s team says it will explore another candidate if he remains adamant that he will run again in 2022.
Osoi’s camp says Loisa has been unlucky in the last several elections and though they will battle it with Ntaati , they are categorical that the man to beat Ntaati is not Loisa.
Loisa has lost the Dalalekutuk MCA seat thrice to Ntaati, including a 6-vote loss in his backyard (Enkorika Primary School) in 2017.
Loisa is a staunch supporter of Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi while Ntaati vouches for Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
Governor Lenku and Memusi do not see eye to eye.
Loisa’s political troubles exploded today after Osoi led three of Loisa’s bedrock supporters Vincent Nusu, Ole Mpuki and Ole Kadidi into a crisis meeting at Mzee Sikite’s home within the ward.
” We are ready to chart a fresh start. Loisa has terribly lost thrice and our thinking is that we need a new candidate to face off with Ntaati. He has refused and become adamant that he is in the race in 2022.That is where we are disagreeing,” said one of the supporters who attended the meeting.
The new split leaves the anti-Loisa camp with two options; either to go it alone or join forces with the incumbent.
It remains to be seen what will unfold in due course.
