Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny has commissioned the expansion of classrooms in all schools in his constituency to ensure learners adhere to social distancing once schools re-open in January.
In the last two weeks, Kuttuny toured several schools and issued CDF cheques for the expansion of classes.
In SDA Muige secondary school, the MP issued a cheque of sh 1 million for construction of a classroom.
He also gave out sh 500,000 to Twiga primary school.
At Joseph’s Cheptil secondary school, Kuttuny issued a cheque of sh.1.3 million for the construction of a laboratory while Top Suwerwa secondary school in Chepsiro Kiptoror ward got sh1 million for the construction of two classrooms.
Top Suwerwa Primary school from the same ward was awarded sh 500,000.
The legislature also gave out sh1.1 million to Kongasis secondary school.
Kuttuny said his CDF has also given out sh 1.4 million to Kipsaina secondary school in Sinyereri ward for construction of a Laboratory.
Wiyeta Girls got shs 1 million for completion of a stalled Dining Hall.
The legislature said he has given out sh.1.3 million for the completion of a dining Hall at St Augustine’s Munyaka.
Ekegoro primary school was given sh 500,000.
He also commissioned four classrooms at Sinyereri primary school that were recently completed.
The MP said Kenya power Technicians are connecting electricity in Kiptenden area of Chepsiror ward,Kipsingori of Motosiet ward and Surungai in the same ward.
He said more than 68 households in Kaplamai will also benefit from the power supply.
