Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa has said 90 percent of Trans Nzoia MCAs will not be reelected and that there is no need to associate himself with them.
He said he will not work with the MCAs in his quest to be the Governor in 2022.
Wamalwa said the reps will not add value to his campaigns.
This comes days after it was reported that his 2022 competitor Kakai Bisau has resolved to work with the reps.
He spoke at Liyavo in Kwanza during a Ford Kenya meeting.
Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula, former Trans Nzoia Senator Henry Ndiema were among leaders who attended the meeting.
They were hosted by Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi.
Wamalwa refuted claims that he is violent and a tribalist.
“People say that I will rough them up and beat them up when I become the Governor. That is wrong! Look at my face, do I look like a violent leader “he posed.
“I am not tribal, my wife is a kikuyu, my house girl is a Luo and my security officer is a Kalenjin” said the legislature.
Wetang’ula said there is need for the Luhya community and Ford Kenya to continue supporting him.
“We should not play with leadership, the curiosity to ascend to power is sweeter than that of food and the urge to have sex ”
“Don’t waste this chance, if you lose me, it will take several years before settling on another leader from Bukusu community” Wetang’ula told Ford Kenya grassroots leaders in reference to the May 31 party coup.
He said after the death of Masinde Muliro,it took the community over ten years before the late Michael Wamalwa Kijana was identified to lead Ford Kenya.
