Residents of Namanjalala in Kwanza constituency want the government to recruit a Chief and his assistant in the area.
Led by budding Politician Nicholas Wamalwa, the residents said the area Chief and his assistant retired two years ago and have not been replaced.
Addressing a gathering at Lurare in Kwanza subcounty, the 2017 parliamentary candidate Nicholas Wamalwa wondered why the area has no two government officials.
“I am appealing to our county commissioner to immediately intervene and ensure the youth from the area are fairly recruited to take over the positions “said Wamalwa.
He was speaking during the burial of Elizabeth Shilingi- a local.
Area MCA Ben Mulipuko was present.
Wamalwa also asked the County Commissioner Sam Ojwang to help and ensure Sango location is gazetted as a location.
He said this will provide employment to local youths as well as boosting the areas security.
He told MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi to request for a statement from roads CS James Macharia through Parliament on why the tarmacking of Kitale-Kolongolo road has stalled.
The road was launched by Deputy President William Ruto last year.
