State House Director of Digital Communication Densiis Itumbi has allegedly been arrested outside City Hall.
Those who witnessed the arrest said Itumbi was arrested after he was allegedly linked to the “Ruto assassination “letter.
Itumbi is the secretary digital, innovations and diaspora communications and is based at the Deputy President’s office in Harambee Annex.
DP Ruto is reported to have raised the assassination claims with President Uhuru Kenyata who then asked DCI boss George Kinoti to investigate.
The letter is reportedly the one that led to the summoning of 4 cabinet secretaries by the DCI on allegations that they wanted o assassinate DP Ruto.
According to the DCI, the letter is alleged to have been drafted and printed in a cybercafe on Lang’ata Road.
The author of the alleged letter dated May 30, 2019 claimed that a meeting had been convened at Hotel La Mada to discuss how to “shore up support for the President in Mt. Kenya and its diaspora.”
Also on the agenda was “proposed referendum” and “go on the offensive against Deputy President William Ruto.
