Two men, Chris Mugisha and Al Bachiry Mohamed alias Abdoulaye Bashir were charged in court on Monday for coning a Nairobi businessman shs 7 million pretending they could sell him Gold.
The court heard that on diverse dates between February 17, 2021 at Delight Apartments along Diani road Kilimani in Nairobi, jointly with others not before the court, with intent to defraud obtained Sh 7,095,000 from Kwalla Kirimi.
They falsely pretended that they were able to export 20kgs of Gold bars from Kenya to Beirut in Lebanon.
Al Bachury Mohamed Alias Abdoulay Bashir was also accused that on February 17, 2021, being a Mali National, he was in the Country illegally.
The court heard that he had no valid pass nor permit allowing him to be present in Kenya.
They were released on Sh 2Million bond.
The matter will be mentioned on March 8, 2021.
