The Covid-19 Emergency Fund Committee on Saturday received a donation of fifty-seven tons of dry food stuffs donated from the Professional Criminologists Association of Kenya-PCAK and the Last Resort.
The donation was received in Nairobi by Covid-19 kitty committee Chairperson Jane Karuku.

PCAK board members attended the handing over ceremony led by founding chairman Munene Mugambi while Mr Pitu represented the Last Resort.

Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Dr. Asha Mohammed graced the ceremony.
KRC is offering logistical assistance to the Covid-19 Fund committee.
Miss Karuku thanked the donors as well as KRC for their selflessness.
“This is great sacrifice in helping the government to fight Covid-19.” She said.
Mr Mugambi thanked PCAK and other well-wishers who partnered with the Association to raise funds.
He said the donations were mobilized through the Association’s directorate of corporate social responsibility and will cater for ten thousand needy families in Nairobi’s slums.
Mugambi told Hot News that PCAK is committed to enhancement of safety and security in the society through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm.
“As criminologists we believe lack of food and hope can lead to crime.” He said.
The Covid-19 Emergency Kitty was established by the Government to contain the effects of Covid-19.
