Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has asked the Kamba Community to unite ahead of 2022 elections.
He said the Kamba Community has more than 1 million votes and this should be used as a bargaining chip.
“We have great individuals in the Kamba Nation who can vie for presidency and win; the likes of Kivutha Kibwana, Charity Ngilu and Kalonzo Musyoka,” he said.
He condemned political leaders diving Kamba’s.
He was speaking during the burial of Henry Masaku Ngei,
Henry was the son of the Cabinet Minister and freedom fighter, the late Paul Ngei.
He succumbed to prostate cancer and was buried on Saturday at his home in Mbilini, Kangundo in Machakos county.
Sonko asked Political leaders to stop campaigns and help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The greatest enemy to Kenyans is anyone playing politics now while citizens are dying of hunger, diseases and poverty due to Covid-19. The 2022 election is not yet, I’m calling upon all leaders to serve Kenyans and end the current political differences derailing service delivery,” he said.
Sonko asked the EACC, DPP and the DCI to probe corruption at KEMSA.
