The postmortem on the body of a university student who was killed at Namanjalala in Kwanza was done on Thursday.
Dr Dixon Muchana,a pathologist who was hired by non-governmental organizations carried out the process on the body of Sebastian Simiyu.
This was in the presence of family members, officials from Independent Medical Legal Unit, IPOA and justice and peace.
Dr Muchana said Simiyu was killed by four bullets.
On Friday last week, police officers from Maili Saba and Namanjalala police posts invaded the home of Fredrick Wanjala aka Musa Namakhelo during an illicit brew crackdown and killed his son.
Addressing the media after postmortem, family spokesperson Michael Wekesa who is also aspiring Matisi MCA said the family is pained by the killing of their son and that what the family needs is justice.
“It’s unfortunate that government guns have turned objects of killing innocent Kenyans, justice ought to prevail “said Wafula.
He asked IG Hillary Mutyambai to intervene and help the family in getting justice.
Other family members present were Pastor David Simiyu and Simiyu Nduruchi(cousin to the deceased) and his sister Celestine Wanjala and 2017 Kwanza parliamentary candidate Nicholas Wamalwa.
Wamalwa asked all human rights organizations and all parties taking part in the justice process to hasten the process for justice to prevail.
He said it is lawlessness to learn that most police officers engage in the brutal killings of innocent in Kwanza constituency and go Scott free.
IPOA representative who spoke on condition of anonymity assured the family that they will not leave any stone unturned until Justice prevails.
Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased who were roughed up and arrested by the police after Simiyu’s killing are still in Kitale prison.
Wafula said the intimidation is part of plan by police to interfere with family’s bid to get Justice.
