Five Governors from Western Region yesterday attended a CAF workshop in Busia Town.
They pledged to work together for the region’s growth.
The Governors were Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga), Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Patrick Khaemba (Trans Nzoia) and Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia).
The forum was dubbed the County Assemblies Forum, Western Cluster Workshop and took place at Busia Agricultural Training Centre.
Members of the Forum from Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma and Vihiga pushed to be included in the Council of Governors Pensions Scheme.
The County Assemblies Forum (CAF) is the coordinating body of the 47 County Assemblies in Kenya.
The primary mandate of CAF is to promote networking and synergy among the 47 County Assemblies, coordinate intergovernmental relations and enhance good practice in legislative development.
CAF membership includes Members of County Assemblies, County Assembly Speakers, County Assemblies Service Boards, County Staff, and the General Public.
