Busia sub county administrators will lead public participation forums to seek citizens’ views on the Building Bridges Initiative Report.
Addressing the press after collecting copies of the BBI report from the Governor’s Office on Friday, the administrators said they will hold public and townhall meetings to have residents go through the document before making informed decision.
” We are taking the opportunity to reach out to the members of the public to have them read and understand the report, ” Teso North Sub County Administrator Chrisanthus Okware said.
He said residents should be ready to provide a memorandum or a petition of what they would like to put on BBI report as a response.
Okware said ward and village administrators are going to be assigned those tasks of bringing citizens together and discuss on the contents of the document.
Tobias Wanzala (Nambale Sub County) said residents should get full information on the BBI report.
Nelson Otando (Bunyala) said they will push for the implementation of the BBI report since it’s pro-devolution.
