A case in which Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai’s son was charged with hitting and killing two boda boda riders has been pushed to March 30.
David Mwenda Nzioka is facing two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
The prosecution alleged that on December 2, 2021 at about 1842 hours along Southern by Pass near West Park Estate within Nairobi County, being the driver of motor vehicle registration number KDB 421Z , Toyota Hilux Double Cabin, drove the said vehicle in a dangerous manner to other road users.
Mwenda swerved to the wrong side of the road and hit a motorcycle registration number KMEL 948F make Honda and caused the death of one rider Stephen Omwota.
In the second count, he was charged with causing the death by dangerous driving contrary to the law.
He is said to have caused the death of Stephen Musyoka and Richard Omwota.
When the matter came up before magistrate Martha Nazunshi on Tuesday, the court was informed that the magistrate was not sitting.
He is out on Sh 300,000 cash bail.
