Kenyans have faulted and rubbished lawyer Donald Kipkorir for being insensitive to governments efforts in fighting the spread of Covid-19.
Several people took to twitter and social media platforms and chided Kipkorir for being “ignorant”.
On Monday, Kipkorir took to twitter and asked how many people returned to Kenya between March 22 and 25th. He downplayed the Governments efforts to contain the pandemic.
He went on to ask how many returnees were quarantined and where.
He also questioned why the government hasn’t issued those tested of Covi-19 with reports.
Kipkorir went on to complain that Kenyatta University students are producing ventilators before they are patented.
His remarks angered many people on social media platforms who said his is simply criticizing the government for the sake of criticism.
“What are you yourself doing to help other Kenyans? Has @Donald Kipkorir even contributed a cent towards the Covid-19 kitty?” said @onesmus mutunga.
Others had no kind words for him
“Too much talk on what the government has not done! Now you attack Kenyatta University students who are toiling in the labs to produce ventilators. These ventilators will save you and your mother. Go rot in hell you buffoon” @willy Mwangi said.
Others said the lawyer had raised pertinent issues that need to be addressed.
“He has genuine concerns, but he has brought them out wrongly. Kipkorir needs to learn how to address issues. He needs to know that there is a time for criticism and a time to join hands with the government and help end spread of Covid-19. I wish he is infected,” @Carolkimtai said.
Several Kenyatta University students said they do not need his free advice.
“Keep your advice to yourself. This is a pandemic and we need to make ventilators for our people” said Mark Wanyama on facebook.
