Police in Nyando subcounty have arrested four police officers including an O.C.S for looting alcohol from a lorry they were manning following an accident.
The Isuzu lorry registration number KCK 959L was ferrying white pearl vodka.
This is according to a police signal seen by Hot News and sent to police headquarters by DCI Kisumu.
The matter has been reported at Ahero police station vide OB numbers 3/10/8/2020 and 41/10/8/2020.
The officers include Chief Inspector William Cheruiyot the OCS Boya Police Station.
He has been locked up with his accomplices Coporal Jane Chepkemei, Constables Bernard Macharia, Samuel Maina and Roderick Laushuset.
“The officers stole the alcoholic spirits instead of guarding the same. From the house of OCS Boya C.I William Cheruiyot seventy-two bottles of white pearl vodka spirit were recovered. All placed in cells while appearing normal.” Read the police report.
