The late Nyamira Governor John Nyangarama was born in 1946 in Nyakemincha village.
He was a teacher by profession and had a bias in Literature.
He taught former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara and Nyaribari Chache MP Robert Monda.
In 2003, he was a farmer and latter KTDA MD.
He is an alumnus of Kisii High School.
In 2007 vied for west Mugirango parliamentary seat and lost.
In 2013 vied for Governor of Nyamira and won.
He defeated Charles Mochama.
In 2017, he vied and defeated, Walter Nyambati and James Gesami to retain the seat.
Leaders termed him as caring, listening, and humble man.
Nyangaramas First wife died and left him with 10 kids and one of the kids also died.
